After more than two decades teaching mathematics at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and at Damascus University, Wael Nasser is bringing his passion for problem solving to Campbell Hall. With a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Damascus and a newly earned masters in science from CSUN, Nasser steps into the classroom as the new Precalculus and Calculus teacher.
For Nasser, teaching is more than equations and formulas, but about connecting with each generation in a way that makes math meaningful.
“I want them to understand the way they’re thinking,” Nasser said. “I try to think of what makes them interested, making my material something they really enjoy.”
